la sagrada familia Tickets

I visited La Sagrada Familia two years ago and let me tell you, out of all the places I’ve seen, this one absolutely blew my travel socks off. It’s like stepping into a cathedral designed by aliens with a flair for drama and geometry. The ceilings? Totally indescribable. Think spider webs spun by artistic geniuses on a sugar high. It’s jaw-dropping, surreal, and somehow both chaotic and peaceful.

Luckily, I did my homework and booked tickets in advance, because this place doesn’t mess around. While I was standing in line, a poor tourist asked the security guard how to get in. He gave her the look of someone who’s delivered bad news too many times and said, “No tickets today.” She asked where to buy them, and he informed her they’re only available online. She asked for the site, and he basically shrugged and said, “Doesn’t matter, it’s sold out for the next month.”

The look on her face was the travel version of dropping your ice cream cone. Moral of the story: don’t wing it with Gaudí. He’s fabulous, but his house requires planning and punctuality.
